Gateway Plus connectivity settings

  • Host Platform:

    • Windows

    • Linux

  • Scanner connectivity - The maximum number of ProGlove scanners you can connect to one Gateway Plus device (default is 5, maximum is 10).

  • Integration Path:

    • USB

      • USB CDC - Virtual communication port (input as a string)

        • Streams API - Advanced communication protocol via USB CDC.

        • Baudrate - Rate at which information is transferred in a communication channel.

        • USB speed configuration - Allows switching from Full speed, which is the default mode, to High speed.

      • USB HID - Keyboard input to host

        • POS - Point Of Service support protocol for deep integration of barcode scanners into your application. When active, it will disable using different Keyboard Layouts which are available for standard USB HID integrations.

        • Keyboard Layout - Default language keyboard layout (e.g. English, German, Finnish, Czech, etc.).

        • Character delay - Fast, Medium and Compatibility mode (when sending data, some apps need longer to input characters).

        • Use Numpad Variant - The numeric keypad is used for entering numbers.

        • USB speed configuration - Allows switching from Full speed, which is the default mode, to High speed.

    • WebSocket - Enables communication using WebSockets by creating a Workflow Rule that outputs every scan. The integration path uses WiFi connectivity.

    • MQTT - Enables communication using MQTT by creating a Worklow Rule that outputs every scan. The integration path uses WiFi connectivity.

    • TCP/IP - Enables communication within a private network. Your Gateway Plus can act as both the Client and Server.

    • RS232 - Enables communication using a serial interface. It comes with the Flow control for both software and hardware.

    • Custom - Allows you to select any Integration Path or to select Disable and define all the conditions in the Workflow Rules.

  • Mass Storage Mode:

    • Continuous - Every time a Gateway Plus is reconnected to a desktop it automatically displays as a Mass Storage Device.

    • Manually - Every time a Gateway Plus is reconnected to a desktop, it needs to be enabled as a Mass Storage Device manually.
