General performance improvements and bug fixes for improved stability of your ProGlove scanners.

New screens for MARK Display during Photo Reporting sessions - While taking photos with our MARK Display scanners, users now have new screens guiding them through the steps they need to take and informing them of the current process state. Check your scanner's display for information on when to trigger your MARK Display to capture an image, and confirmation on whether the photo was successfully sent to the INSIGHT webportal or not. Configurable BLE advertising channels - In environments that have multiple connectivity points and heavy wireless traffic, certain signals can interfere with each other and impact sensitive devices using the 2.4GHz band. To avoid this, we made the BLE advertising channels configurable and our Device configurations allow you to disable one of the three BLE advertising channels as needed. Check the Scanner settings tab within your Device configuration and visit this page for more information.

Triple-click trigger function enabled for all ProGlove scanners - With the goal of constantly enhancing the capabilities of our scanners and adding even more options to successfully utilize them across all of your shop floor processes, we have enabled a triple-click trigger function. This is a solution for all cases where the double-click trigger is already used within an existing process. Additionally, it allows workers to have more interactions with their system while only using the scanner and its Index Trigger. The functionality is enabled by default but can be disabled in the Scanner settings tab within your Device configuration when needed.

Flash optimization - The scanners will now store their assets on the Connectivity Devices in order to optimize and maintain sufficient memory storage.

AIM code addition - Apply an AIM code to your scanned barcodes using your device configurations.

Display improvements - We fixed a few minor display issues that occurred with certain special characters, as well as improved the layout and performance of the PG2A and PG3 screen templates.

General performance improvements and bug fixes.

Smooth display - Refined presentation and layout of barcode code content on our MARK Display scanners, even when locked.

Enhanced visual and audio feedback - Optimized to better support different scanner modes, and frequent changes between multiple Connectivity Devices and/or configuration settings.

Sharpened signals and connectivity - Reformed to maintain reliability and improve connections between devices, as well as augment device monitoring capabilities.

Advanced Scanning in the Config tool - Visit the Device configuration pages relevant to your device and check out the new Advanced Scanning settings.

Disabling the double trigger in the Config tool - Disable your scanners from reacting to double triggers using your device configurations in the INSIGHT webportal to support different processes and enable faster scanning performance. Find it in the Scanner settings and test out how it works for your teams.

New Out-of-range scanner feedback sound - For use in crowded and noisy environments, now there's an alternative, Loud feedback sound for when scanners go out of range from their stations. Enable it in your device's configuration Scanner settings and watch how the new alert gets everyone's attention.

Template header improvement - We added a new display field for all templates with a header, which adds content to the right side of the header. For more details, see Screen templates.

Support for the new LED hardware component - Besides regular performance and stability updates for our scanners, with Scanner Firmware Gen1 version 2.8.1 we offer support for the improved LED hardware component that is built into the newly produced MARK Family scanners. Existing devices are not affected by this change.

MARK Display has an improved display component which is fully supported by the latest firmware.

Improved battery life on all devices. Battery consumption during and in-between operations is reduced. To learn more about the feature and understand the impact on your devices, see the updated technical specifications linked below.

Scanner Illumination feature allows you to adjust the brightness of your scanner's camera flash.

Previous issue of compatibility of MARK Family firmware with certain new BLE controllers in HID mode is fixed.

Other performance and stability improvements to the overall system have been introduced to make operations even more reliable.

Support for the updated component - With Scanner Firmware Gen1 version 2.7.0 we provide support for improved display component that is built into the newly produced MARK Display scanners. Existing devices are not affected by this change.

Reconnection Feedback mode enhancement - With previous versions, a reconnection indicator for MARK 2 and MARK Basic was a fading blue color of the connectivity LED. With this version of the firmware, a reconnection indicator is now a fading blue color of both connectivity and main LED so it can be spotted much easier.
