Advanced Scanning in the Config tool - Visit the Device configuration pages relevant to your device and check out the new Advanced Scanning settings.

Disabling the double trigger via the Config tool - Disable your scanners from reacting to double triggers using your device configurations in the INSIGHT webportal to support different processes and enable faster scanning performance. Find it in the Scanner settings and check out how it works for your teams.

Trigger Photo using Actions in Workflow Rules - Initiate the Photo Reporting feature on your scanner by defining it as an Action in your Workflow Rules. Visit this page for more details about sending photos to INSIGHT via Android devices.

Wi-Fi values sent to INSIGHT with scan events - In addition to gathering Wi-Fi details through telemetry events, your Connectivity Devices will also send this information to the INSIGHT webportal with every scan event. This enables an additional layer of data for more in-depth, contextual analysis of your workforce's performance, since devices often switch between processes, and even levels within My Organization structure. Supporting different MDM solutions by compressing provisioning files using .tar - As some MDM solutions limit the maximum length of a base64 string input, we enabled an alternative compression method to further reduce the size of provisioning files generated in INSIGHT webportal. As a result, this makes the file's base64 string shorter, making it perfectly digestible and readable for most of the available MDM systems.

Photo Reporting sent to INSIGHT webportal directly from the INSIGHT Mobile (Android) app - Capture photos of quality issues or any other relevant details directly on the shop floor using your scanner, and forward them to INSIGHT without even touching your Android device. Photo Reporting and Intent Actions enabled by Android system settings for devices using Android 10 and above - Allow INSIGHT Mobile to Appear on top of other apps when activated. Depending on the Android device and its version, this permission be called differently - see the details here.

Custom data fields for events sent to the cloud - Now you can set your own tags on events reported from the app to give them more meaning. Once collected, easily export them in a .csv file from INSIGHT → Performance Analytics → Performance.

New sound for Out-of-range scanner feedback - For use in crowded and noisy environments, now there's an alternative Loud feedback sound for when scanners go out of range from their stations. Now available for configurations applied to Android connectivity devices, enable it in the Scanner settings and watch how the new alert gets everyone's attention.

Enhanced support for Android configurations - We added a single line keyboard for landscape mode and the option for configuration profile changes based on applications running in the foreground. See more details here.

Template header improvement - We added a new display field for all templates with a header, which adds content to the right side of the header. For more details, see Screen templates.

Configurable http_proxy settings for devices using Android version 8 and higher - These can be manually defined via the network.json file within the Configuration section of the Insight Webportal. For more details on the new configurable settings, see the ProGlove Insight Webportal release notes.

Google Play data safety update - Improved data security through our ProGlove Insight Mobile (Android) application, keeping it trustworthy for our users and conforming to all necessary legal and and safety requirements.

Changing configuration profiles - With the Supervisor access, you can now switch between configuration profiles directly within the ProGlove Insight Mobile (Android) application and apply a different one to the workflow. Understanding that flows and things often change, we build features to support your team's efficiency. For more information, see Profile Changing.

Simplified keyboards - Aiming to support worker comfort and entry error reduction, we've created simplified keyboard modes for Insight Mobile (Android) configurations. Fewer keys mean fewer buttons, and we know that you don't always need to use all the symbols. Take a look here and try them out.

Support for staging certificate - With our latest release, multiple Android devices can now be connected to the respective process level by using a single staging certificate. Steps to perform this are given at Connect Android devices with a single staging certificate. Re-enrollment of the devices to a different process can be also done by using a staging certificate that belongs to a different target level. Support for staging certificates - With our latest release, multiple Android devices can now be connected to the respective process level by using a single staging certificate. Steps to perform this are given at Connect Android devices with a single staging certificate. Re-enrollment of the devices to a different process can be also done by using a staging certificate that belongs to a different target level. Pairing screen in landscape mode - We have enabled auto-rotation for the Pairing screen within our Insight Mobile application, to make pairing even more seamless for any Android device without compromising natural usage of it by workers.

Scanner Firmware Gen1 version 2.6.1 is bundled into this version of Insight Mobile (Android).

Notification on Scanner Configuration change - The Integrator is now being informed through SDK and Intent integration if the Configuration change of a scanner was successful or not.

System notifications for the Scanner Connection States - Each Scanner Connection State is now reported through a system notification. Clicking the notification will open the Insight Mobile (Android) application.

Workflow Rules Action introduced - A new Workflow Rules Action, Open link from barcode in browser has now been introduced to allow the user to scan the barcode and open the containing link immediately in the browser. To learn more, see Actions.

Scanner Illumination configurable - The Device Settings section has now been enhanced to allow you to configure your scanner's LED brightness in order to optimize battery consumption in areas of good lighting/visibility. To learn more, see Scanner Settings.

Activity feature full license released - The Insight Mobile Activity feature has now been fully released and is out of the Beta testing stage. You no longer need and Early Access license to use the feature.

Photo feature full license released - The Insight Mobile Photo feature has now been fully released and is out of the Beta testing stage. You no longer need and Early Access license to use the feature.

WebSocket integration enhanced - The WebSocket integration path has now been enhanced to support all Streams API commands and events to allow you to better manage your Insight Mobile integration with your system. A new Scanner connectivity command has been added to the the Streams API to allow the user to more easily manage connecting and disconnecting multiple devices to Insight Mobile using the WebSocket integration path. Button-blocking API enhanced - You can now select what button gestures to block, what unblocks the button, and specify the block duration. To learn more, see Button-blocking.

PG2A MARK Display template introduced - A new PG2A MARK Display template has now been introduced with two fields with content and headers to support specific sorting use cases. To learn more, see Templates.

Latest scanner firmware bundled with Insight Mobile (Android) - The latest Scanner Firmware Gen1 has now been bundled with the Insight Mobile (Android) app. Downloading the latest version of Insight Mobile (Android) from the Downloads section on INSIGHT webportal, will now automatically include the latest Scanner Firmware Gen1 eliminating the need to download it individually before updating your scanners.

WebSocket integration enabled - You can now use a WebSocket integration path to integrate Insight Mobile with you system if you are running your apps as web apps on desktop, handheld devices, or even hybrid mobile apps. To learn more, see WebSocket integration.

Scan2Pair barcode enhanced - The Scan2Pair feature has now been enhanced to display the pairing barcode in an optimal size relative to the Android device used. To prevent it from taking up the whole screen, the pairing barcode will now be limited to the optimal scanning size on devices with larger screens and will scale down to fit the devices with smaller screens.

Intent Sample app enhanced - The Intent Sample app has now been enhanced to include the Scan2Pair feature to allow the users to pair their scanners directly within the app.

Scanned barcodes echoed on MARK Display - Starting from Scanner Firmware Gen1 2.3.0 and Insight Mobile (Android) 1.11.0, the MARK Display scanners now instantly display the content of the scanned barcode to support the users in managing their workflow. If you are using the SDK or Intent integration paths, or you are sending messages to MARK Display from your host system after a scan, this behavior may not be intended for you. To prevent this behavior, see the procedure under Scanner barcode display echo. We are working on providing you with the necessary configuration option on Insight Webportal to deactivate this feature.

Intent symbology enhanced - To support compatibility with Zebra DataWedge, the symbology data contained in the extra com.symbol.datawedge.label_type has now been enhanced to correspond to the label type values used by Zebra.

Supervisor password configurable - The Supervisor view has now been enhanced to allow you to enable custom password protection in the configuration file. From Insight Mobile 1.10.0, the Supervisor view password is deactivated by default, and needs to be set manually in the configuration file on Insight Webportal to limit your worker's access to the Supervisor view features. If you are upgrading from an older Insight Mobile version and still require Supervisor view password, make sure to enable it in your existing configuration file on Insight Webportal. Insight Mobile integration paths enhanced - The Insight Mobile app now has now been enhanced to have all integration paths and ProGlove Keyboard active by default to output the scanned barcodes. Setting up advanced workflows still requires customizing the SDK or Intent integration paths manually on Insight Webportal. To learn more, see Integration paths.

Minimized Keyboard introduced - The ProGlove keyboard behavior in the Insight Mobile app has now been enhanced to feature a minimized keyboard to allow you to use the full screen of your Android device. To learn more, see Software Keyboard.

Keyboard toggle removed - The Keyboard toggle in Insight Mobile has now been removed. As all integration paths are now active by default, a modal window prompts you to enable ProGlove Keyboard on your Android device and you no longer have to activate the keyboard integration path manually on first install. You can now use the Barcode configuration feature to quickly switch between the integration paths as needed.

Manual firmware update from version 1.x to 2.x enabled - The Firmware update feature has now been enhanced to allow you to directly update from versions 1.x to the latest firmware version (2.x) bundled with the Insight Mobile (Android) app. You are now able to update from version 1.x to 2.x manually or using the Zero-touch update feature. Sample apps section enhanced - The Sample apps section has now been enhanced to include the Feature Demo App and the code-level Sample apps sub-section to get you started on trying out features and building your own scanning apps. To learn more, see Feature demo app and Sample app code.

Quickstart section introduced - A Quickstart section has now been introduced to allow you to instantly integrate the Insight Mobile app using the default integration path and a basic set of features. To learn more, see Quickstart.

Barcode Configuration introduced - A new Barcode Configuration feature has been introduced to allow you to apply your configuration to your scanner and the Insight Mobile (Android) app by scanning the Configuration Barcode on Insight Webportal. This eliminates the need to import the ProGlove.proconfig file manually or push it to your devices using an MDM. To learn more, see Apply configuration files via barcode.

Compatibility matrix introduced - A new Insight Mobile Android / scanner firmware compatibility matrix has now been introduced to present an overview of what Insight Mobile features require specific scanner or app firmware/software versions to work.

Screen Time Reset Action introduced - A new Screen Time Reset Workflow Rule Action has now been introduced to enable you to prevent your Android device's screen from going into sleep mode or turn it back on when a certain trigger or a condition is met. For example, if you select the Incoming Barcode Trigger with the Screen Time Reset Action, your Android device's screen sleep timer is reset on every barcode scan. Also, if your screen is already in sleep more, this Action turns it back on. To learn more, see Add a Workflow Rule.

Pairing barcode now displays on Insight Mobile start - When starting the Insight Mobile app, if no scanner is connected, the pairing barcode now displays automatically without having to select Scan2Pair manually. To learn more, see Scan2Pair.

Workflow Rules migrated to Insight Webportal - The Workflow Rules documentation has now been moved from the Insight Mobile (Android) page to the Insight Webportal page. Access it here.

Bug fixes

Activity feature introduced - A new Activity feature has now been introduced to provide you with a clear overview of your daily activities' statistics including the step-counter, scan performance, and Proximity feature reporting as well as setting daily worker goals. The Activity feature is currently in closed Beta testing stage. To apply for testing the closed Beta feature, please register for the Early Access Program. To learn more, see Activity.

Supervisor View password protected - The Insight Mobile's Supervisor View has now been enhanced to require a password login to prevent any accidental changes to the application's configuration during everyday workflow. To learn more, see User views.

Software Keyboard integration enhanced - The Software Keyboard integration has now been enhanced to include a Numeric Keyboard mode in addition to the Alphanumeric and Symbols ProGlove keyboards in order to support specific shopfloor use cases. Keyboard Themes have now been introduced to allow you to change your keyboard's appearance by selecting one of the pre-configured color themes. To learn more, see Software Keyboard.

Getting profile information using SDK and Intent enabled - You can now use SDK or Intent to get profile information (E.g. which profile is currently set as the active one). To learn more, see Profiles.

Receiving Button events for Ivanti's Velocity browser enabled - You can now configure the button trigger to send a Barcode Intent to the integrated Ivanti Velocity browser on double-click in order to send notifications to the worker's MARK Display scanner. To learn more, see Button.

MARK Display Velocity Browser integration enabled - You can now use the Velocity browser to integrate with the ProGlove MARK Display scanner. To learn more, see Solution Partners.

Bug fixes

PG Connect rebranded - Starting with the 1.6.0 release, PG Connect Android app has been rebranded and renamed to Insight Mobile 1.6.0.

Single launcher icon introduced - When you install the Insight Mobile app, now a single launcher icon displays on your Android device. Use it to access the new Supervisor and Worker profiles.

User Profiles introduced - Two new user profiles enable two different views in Insight Mobile: Supervisor View and Worker View. Use the Supervisor View to manage your firmware updates, Insight connectivity, Keyboard settings or Proximity configurations. The Worker View has been reduced to the minimum number of features the worker is required to use (i.e. Scan2Pair and Proximity.). Worker View is the default view on app start.

Integration Wizard migrated - The Integration Wizard from PG Connect 1.4 has been removed. You can still enable the Software Keyboard Integration path in the Supervisor View if needed. Advanced integration path settings are now available on INSIGHT webportal . To set up Integration Paths, you need to configure them inside a Configuration File in the Configurations section of the Insight Webportal platform. To learn more, see Integration.

Workflow Rules Removed - The Workflow Rules section has now been migrated to INSIGHT. To set Workflow Rules, you need to configure them inside a Configuration File in the Configurations section of the Insight Webportal platform. To learn more, see Workflow Rules.

Proximity (BETA) Feature Introduced - The Proximity (BETA) feature has now been introduced to provide your workers with active monitoring of safety distance between them. To learn more, see Proximity.

License for Early Access Features - Worker Feedback, Display, and Button features have now been fully released and no longer require an Early Access key.
